This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.
The secret? The secret to righteousness. It happened during the people of Noah’s time. There was a lack of righteousness all around yet Noah was blameless amongst all that was going on. It seems the secret to righteousness is walking with God. Walking faithfully with God is our part. But the real big part, vital part, is God, and according to the Apostle Paul, God’s way for us to be righteous is Jesus.
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21
Apparently it is called “imputed righteousness” by theologians. I found this term as I started looking at this verse. Then that opened up a Pandora’s box when I googled “imputed righteousness.” Many have written about it. It seems to be a big deal. I think it’s a big deal because it’s a big deal to God. It means He made it possible for us to be righteous. How? By walking faithfully with Him. Noah did. Today, walking with God leads us right to Jesus – God points us to Jesus. Walking faithfully with God means to look to, receive Jesus and walk with Jesus. Jim’s walk across America was all about walking with Jesus. He makes all the difference in the world. Not only does He make us righteous, saves us, but He guides, strengthens, changes us and does amazing things in our lives. So keep walking with God, with Jesus – each step.
