Born and raised in Madera, California, Dr. James D. (Jim) Buckley began his ministry in 1968, the same year that he and Glenda Olson of Ontario, Oregon, were married. They have five married children and 11 grandchildren.
Jim’s ministries have been with youth, children and families, as well as serving as a chaplain in a Christian college. For 28 years he served as lead pastor of Newbury Park First Christian Church (www.npfcc.org), which expanded his ministry the past two years to be a teaching pastor for the church. This expansion allowed him time to teach Marriage and Family Life Education, as well as Transformational Leadership with the TCM International Institute based in Austria.The Institute has nearly 900 graduate students (www.tcmi.edu). Jim continues to serve with a pastor’s heart in various areas of ministry, including his continued ministry in his local church and his teaching as a an adjunct professor of students from Central & Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Jim has an M.T.S (Masters in Theological Studies) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and a D. Min. (Doctor of Ministry) from Fuller Theological Seminary.
